The first step in building your online business is has nothing to do with online or with business for that matter, it has everything to do with you, with self-knowledge. If you want to make money online you have to find your perfect niche, that’s the key. The bad news is that all the good niches are already taken, the great news is that a “good niche” and “your perfect niche” is not quite the same thing. Your perfect niche is at the intersection of three major areas: what you like to do, what you know to do and what people want … this is your sweet spot.
Internet is great. At no other time in history has it been easier or cheaper to start a business, a web-based business that cost almost nothing to get off the ground yet can turn into great moneymaker if you work hard and you are patient. If you don’t agree than stop reading because I have no intention what so ever to even try to convince you that is true, there are plenty of people already convinced that wants to hear how to do it, and is simple, you just have to pick a strong domain name and build not just a website but a web-based money generator.
While developing a domain name is a project and should be treated like one, developing domain names is a process that can be learned, implemented and improved. All you need when you start in this wonderful adventure is the process map and the deep understanding that map is not the territory.
Domain development is not the only way of making money online and I’m not saying it is, there are lots of paths you just have to find the maps or to became an explorer because I’m sure there are also plenty of undiscovered ways. Actually domain development is not even the only way to own a web-based moneymaker, if you have money you can buy a web-based business and all you have to do is to run that business (that’s expensive) or you can buy a good website and transform it in a web-based money generator (less expensive but not an easy task).
That being said I prefer starting form scratch because it allows me to control my property better. If you are a first time online entrepreneur I strongly recommend to start from scratch, once you developed one domain into a business you will have the power to make and educated decision for the next. Imagine your first online business as a training program that makes you money, after you complete the training program you can do what you want, literally, sky is the limit.
